Description
Kyburg Castle is perched high up above the River Töss. Eastern Switzerland's most important feudal castle is now home to a lively museum. Hear tales about the knights and castle maidens, the local governor and his wife, the servants and the subjects. You can also try on a medieval costume and test the comfort of a leaf mattress and wool pillow.
The torture chamber, medieval kitchen, armor and weaponry rooms and newly restored chapel frescos dating back to the 15th century offer fascinating insight into a bygone lifestyle.
