For over 30 years, Café Restaurant Mohrenkopf has been a popular meeting place in the heart of Zurich’s old town at Niederdorfstrasse 31. Its interior design is a winning combination of contemporary style and traditional elements of coffee house culture. Bright, gilt-decorated walls, light grey wainscoting as well as dark wooden tables and bistro chairs provide an inviting environment and create a cosy atmosphere. The café serves fresh, home-made pastry, Swiss specialities and seasonal dishes. Among the specialities are freshly made Capuns ‘Sursilvans’, juicy chicken breast with home-made herb butter and of course the café’s signature dish: a large selection and variety of home-made ‘Mohrenköpfe’ (chocolate-coated marshmallow treats).
