Chez Hugo

Beer garden fans should be sure to visit Chez Hugo in the heart of the city. This small but laid-back summer oasis is located at Basteiplatz, between the Old Botanical Gardens and Paradeplatz.

Food and drink is ordered at the blue goods container, which has been converted into a bar. On offer are, among other things, grilled sausages – sometimes even a suckling pig is roasted on the BBQ –meat skewers, salads and country fries. As befits the locale, guests generally drink original Munich Hofbräuhaus beer. However, there is naturally also a choice of non-alcoholic beverages, such as lemonade and tea. After ordering, visitors take a seat at one of the long wooden tables and spend a relaxing afternoon or evening together with friends, work colleagues or strangers.
